Hey,
Now, we are in the new section of Blogging.
In the previous sections, we covered the basics of SEO - what it is, why to learn.
In others, we learned how to create a website, how to install WordPress from cPanel and how to set up your first WordPress blog using InfinityFree and how to create a simple blog at Blogger.com.
If you have followed the lessons and taken appropriate actions, you should be having your blog up and running.
From here onwards, you are going to learn the different components of Blogging.
We'll start with Google Analytics.
In this lesson, you'll learn all about Google Analytics.
Why Analytics first?
Why not SEO or Adwords or Facebook which can be used for promoting your blog?
Because after this lesson you'll be learning about the traffic generation and optimization techniques.
But to know whether your techniques and tactics are working or not, you need data.
Data, that could tell you about what's working and what's not.
Google Analytics is the platform that'll help you to understand that.
You'll know about
- Who are your visitors?
- Where do they come from?
- What do they consume?
- What actions do they take?
And more...
Remember, analytics is a key skill to master as the world is moving towards data-driven marketing and conscious budgeting.
This lesson was geared to give you the basic understanding of Analytics and help you to learn about your audiences.
In the next posts, you are going to learn how to setup your google analytics account and connect it with Blogger or WordPress.
